Edwardsville, home to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), is a city in Madison County, Illinois, United States. Edwardsville thrives on the Illinois side of the mighty Mississippi River, just 30 miles from St. Louis. In 2010 Edwardsville was named by Family Circle magazine as one of the top 10 cities and towns for families in America based on its affordable housing, excellent schools, and green spaces.
