About O’Fallon

The City of O’Fallon Illinois is most often referred to as the “fastest growing community in Southern Illinois”. There have been and continue to be many reasons for O’Fallon’s consistent growth. Historically, it was the Ohio and Mississippi Railroad Company, now the Baltimore and Ohio, which built a depot and water tank and prompted the founding of O’Fallon. Coal Mines, such as the Tiedemann Mining Company, along with the Willard Stove factory, the Independent Engineering Company and the rich surrounding farm land supported the growth of O’Fallon.
