James Vernier the mayor of the Village of Shiloh discusses the merits of the military moving to Shiloh Illinois. Scott AFB base is just a five minute drive from City Hall and there are easy routes to great shopping complexes and many other activities. Five grade schools and three high schools are in the Shiloh district and all have high rankings in the Illinois school reports. Memorial Hospital, a brand new state of the art hospital has just been built and will open in April. About 60% of the population is either military or associated with the military in some way.Shiloh welcomes the military and understands the unique needs that they have.
