Hi everyone! I believe Shiloh is the best place to live in the entire St. Louis metro east area hands down. No competition! End of story! Now maybe just maybe. I might be a little biased!
Since I have lived in Shiloh for over two decades where I have had the good fortune to have worked and raised my family
But I can tell you that I am not alone in my love of Shiloh! That is because of the hundreds of families I have had the great pleasure of helping move here! And to a person, they love it too for all the things this village has to offer!
And there is a lot that Shiloh has to offer!
With that said. Let me give you just three of the top reasons to live in Shiloh!
#1 The vast selection of school districts for residence to choose from! Depending on the age of your kids and the area you want to live in. You have up to six school districts to decide on! For grade school and Junior highs, you have the Shiloh School district, Whiteside School District, Central School, and Mascoutah schools to pick from. If you are looking for what many consider some of the best high schools in the area. Then you have either Mascoutah or O’Fallon High School! Plus, Belleville East to choose from!
#2 You’re a Stone’s throw away from Scott Air Force Base. And yes, it really is that close! Making it a favorite place to live for the military and civilians alike that work there! In fact. Not too long ago I was talking to the mayor and he estimates that close to 50 to 60 percent if not more of all the residence or either active or retired military. Meaning once you move here! You won’t want to leave!
